Sometimes you find a place that just suits you. Here, they are about wine and the right selection of food to enable wine enjoyment. The front of house guy is passionate and positive and genuine in his recommendations. I am traveling solo to Avignon for 3 days and have come here twice because of the experience. Maybe a third time to come tomorrow.

We had a really wonderful afternoon here. Stopped in for a glass of wine and ended up having a bottle, 3 dishes of food and a dessert with rum degustation. Jeremy was SO friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and even described everything to us in English because one of us can't speak French. I couldn't recommend this place enough and I'm fairly certain the locals love it here too. Can't wait to be back in Avignon to try some of the delicious wines they have on display, which you can even take away with you for a small corkage fee, what else could you ask for?

We stepped in and we were welcomed with a big smile. We were amazed by how many wines adorned the wall! There are numerous options, whether you choose a glass or a bottle, it doesn't matter, as the sommelier will help you select exactly what you are looking for. He really knows his craft and loves his job! Our wine was magnificent, you could taste different flavours with every sip. The mixed platter was the cherry on the top!

How this place has such good reviews is beyond me, it took 20 minutes to bring us our wine, and the table next to us and the table next to them, everyone’s food came out and was finished before the wine was poured, one one guy is allowed to sell, pour and serve the wine, which is ridiculous because you get left waiting so long when all you wanted was a glass of wine with a bite to eat. Not food and wine a long time after, the guy is more worried about playing wine expert than serving the customers and to top it off the sharing board that was tiny and nothing special at all compared to others we’ve had was €18 on the menu and tried charging €30, so they wanted €51 euros for 2 glasses of average wine and 4 little bits of bread and some tiny chunks of cheese and a few slices of meat. Luckily the wait for the wine was so long we weren’t drunk enough to fall for this and as soon as we raised it and they tried to justify it, it was rectified. Been in Avignon 4 days and this is by far the biggest disappointment after reading the reviews and it was the same for the tables around us. The good review must be friends of the owner. The reason I’m giving 2 and not 1 is the other staff were very nice and the food was tasty, just not worth the money…after reading the other negative reviews and the responses, it’s safe to assume they will say it’s my fault I had a bad experience, which shows the level of contempt for customers who don’t want to play along with the charade . I also downgraded to one star after seeing the replies to other paying customers
